ATV-first by design — what that actually means
Most desert operators in Dubai treat ATV as a sub-line of their safari product. We invert that. The fleet, the briefings, the routes and the lead-rider rule are all tuned for quad and buggy riding. Safari is a peer service we offer — but it is not the lead. If you came here to ride, we are built for you.
In practice this means a fleet that is rotated through service inspection between rides, a senior desert guide running every briefing in person, and a dedicated junior zone for kids riding youth ATVs. The rate sheet on this page is the same rate we honour on WhatsApp.
Yamaha Raptor, Yamaha Grizzly and COBRA — choosing your bike
The current bike line-up shipped on this page is three platforms: COBRA Single Seater at AED 200 per bike, Single Seater Quad Bike at AED 250 per bike and Yamaha Grizzly at AED 350 per bike. Prices are client-supplied and confirmed on the day you book.
COBRA is the lightest. Lower seat height, gentler power, easier first 10 minutes — the right pick for a first-time rider, a smaller frame, or anyone who wants to dial in confidence before extending. The Single Seater quad is the standard recreational machine — heavier, more torque, longer dune routes are comfortable on it. The Yamaha Grizzly is the high-displacement option: deepest dune confidence, longest routes, larger frames welcome.
The Yamaha Raptor 700 sits at the top of the fleet — bigger engine, sharper throttle, intended for guests with prior off-road experience. Specific Raptor 700 availability for your date is confirmed on WhatsApp at booking.
Single seater vs double seater vs youth quad
Same dunes, different seating. The right pick depends on who is riding.

30, 60 or 120 minutes — duration guidance
Thirty minutes is a sampler. Briefing, controlled loop, two photo stops. Fits a layover, a Dubai stop-over, or anyone unsure they will enjoy the ride. Ride extensions are possible on the day if the next slot is free.
Sixty minutes is the most-booked option. Full red-dune loop, sunset-window photo stop, brief refreshment break. This is the duration to recommend to friends visiting Dubai for a weekend.
One-hundred-and-twenty minutes is the deep-route option — second loop, sand-board stop, fuel break. Real stamina test. Only book this duration if you are confident with a quad and have done the 60-minute version before.
Booking-to-drop-off flow
Eight steps from message to home.
- WhatsApp +971 52 440 9525 with the service, date, group size and pickup zone.
- You receive a confirmation: pickup time, meeting-point pin, vehicle assignment, dress checklist.
- Pickup vehicle (4×4 with belts and air-con) collects you 30–45 minutes before ride start.
- On arrival you sign a brief damage waiver, choose bike or accept the assigned bike, and receive your helmet and gloves.
- Pre-ride briefing — controls, throttle, brake, steering, body position, dune crest etiquette. The senior desert guide on duty runs it in person.
- Convoy departs in agreed order. Lead-rider on the front; sweep rider on the back for groups of three or more bikes.
- After the loop you stop for water, photos, gear-check. Bikes and gear return at the briefing area.
- Drop-off back to your pickup point. Total elapsed time is roughly 90 minutes (30-min ride) to 3 hours (120-min ride) door-to-door.

Safety, briefing and rider eligibility
No UAE driving licence required — we operate on private plots licensed for tourism use, not on public dunes. Riders are 16+ on the full route, with adult consent for 16-17. Junior zone is supervised and uses youth ATVs with throttle limiters; full age and CC matrix is confirmed at booking, not made up on a webpage.
Closed shoes are mandatory. Long trousers and sleeves protect against sand abrasion. Helmets are sized to the rider; ill-fitting helmets are swapped on the spot. The first-aid kit and water sit on the support vehicle. Off-grid radio sits with the lead and sweep riders because mobile signal drops on the deeper dune routes.

Best time of day, best season
October to April is the peak window. Long operating hours, cooler temperatures, golden-hour light. November and December book up quickly; reserve at least 48 hours ahead for weekends.
In summer (June–August) we shift to sunrise and sunset slots only — heat is real on a quad bike with closed shoes and a helmet. The 120-minute deep-route option may be unavailable mid-day in July; sunrise it is.
For Ramadan — pickup times shift to align with iftar. Message us with the dates and we will return the adjusted timetable.
What to wear and bring
- Closed shoes — mandatory · trainers / boots / sneakers
- Long trousers — abrasion protection
- Long sleeves or light jacket in winter mornings
- Sunglasses — goggles also issued
- Sunscreen for any uncovered skin
- Refillable water bottle — top up at the briefing area
- Camera or phone with strap — chest strap recommended
- Some cash for any add-on you decide on the day
Family, kids, couples, solo — guidance per audience
Family. Adults on the standard machine, kids in the junior zone on youth ATVs with throttle limiters. Mixing the two on the same plot is normal — supervisor stays with the kids while the adults run the route. We confirm minimum age in the booking message; we do not invent an age on a webpage.
Kids. Junior zone only, supervisor present, scaled-down ATVs, helmet sized to the child. If you are unsure your child will enjoy it, the 30-minute youth window is a low-commitment way to find out.
Couples. Two single seaters works best — one bike each — and lets you swap photo angles. Or one double seater with one of you driving. The sunset window is the right pick for couples; we will flag the best slot in the day.
Solo. Quad biking is comfortable for solo travellers — you join the convoy with other riders, no awkward "where do I sit" moments. The lead rider treats every solo rider as a priority on the briefing.

Pricing guidance
Current rate sheet on this page: AED 200 per bike (COBRA Single), AED 250 per bike (Single Seater), AED 350 per bike (Yamaha Grizzly). Prices are client-supplied and we honour them same-day on WhatsApp. For combinations (quad + buggy or quad + evening safari) we quote a combo line in the same reply.
No fake discount tags. No perpetual "limited time" banner. If a peak weekend has limited availability, the WhatsApp reply will say so.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Picking 30 minutes for a first weekend ride and then wishing you had picked 60
- Showing up in flip-flops — the briefing will turn you away
- Skipping the briefing because "I have ridden one before"
- Booking the 120-minute deep route for a July afternoon
- Assuming alcohol is served on a quad ride — it is not
- Forgetting to mention a kid in the booking message — the junior zone needs setup time

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a license to ride a quad bike in Dubai?
No. We operate on private desert plots, so a UAE driving licence is not required. Our riders complete a 10-minute briefing with throttle, brake and steering practice before heading onto the dunes.
What is the minimum age for ATV Dubai Desert?
Adults ride single-seater Raptors from age 16 with a parent's consent if under 18. Smaller youth ATVs are available for ages 8 to 15 in a supervised junior zone — full age and CC matrix is on the kids page.
Is hotel pickup included?
Yes for our standard pickup zones in Dubai (Business Bay, Downtown, Marina, JBR, Palm). Outside those zones a small transfer surcharge applies. Pickup details and exact times are confirmed on WhatsApp the day before.
What should I wear for quad biking in Dubai?
Closed shoes are mandatory. Long trousers and long sleeves protect against sand abrasion and exhaust heat. We supply helmets and gloves. October to April is dry and cool; in summer we run sunrise and sunset slots only.
Can I bring kids on a quad bike with me?
On single-seaters no — only the rider occupies the machine. Families can choose a 2-seater quad for short, slow runs supervised by our guides, or a 4-seater Polaris RZR buggy on the buggy line.
How is ATV Dubai Desert different from competitors?
We are ATV-first by design: our fleet, training and routes are tuned around quad riding, not safari resale. Every ride includes the same equipment standard, transparent AED pricing, and a real lead-rider on every convoy of more than three quads.
