Terms governing the purchase, validity, redemption and treatment of ATV Dubai Desert gift vouchers and gift cards. Consistent with the cancellation policy where vouchers are used to settle a refunded booking.
Voucher terms — quick summary
Gift vouchers for any service on this site can be purchased on request and delivered as a printable PDF or digital image with a unique code. The voucher works as a stored-value credit against any service the operator offers, redeemed by quoting the unique code at the time of booking.
These voucher terms sit alongside the general terms and conditions and the cancellation policy. Together they govern the issue, redemption and refund of every voucher we sell.
1. Issue
A voucher is issued after the purchase payment has cleared. Each voucher carries a unique code, an issue date, an expiry date (12 months from issue), the AED face value, and the name of the original purchaser.
Vouchers are delivered by WhatsApp to the purchaser's mobile, in PDF and image formats, ready to forward to the recipient. We can also send by email on request. The voucher code itself is what we verify at redemption — keep it private until you give the voucher to the recipient.
2. Validity period
Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue, ending at 23:59 on the same date one year later. The expiry date is printed on the voucher.
Voucher extensions beyond the 12-month window are at the office's discretion. The standard answer is: an extension of up to 3 months is granted if requested before the original expiry date and the recipient explains a genuine reason (travel deferral, medical reason). Extensions after expiry are exceptional.
3. Redemption
Redemption is by WhatsApp message, same as a regular booking, with the addition of the voucher code. Send the service, date, group size, pickup hotel and the voucher code; the office confirms availability and applies the voucher to the booking.
Vouchers are redeemable against any service on this site, subject to availability for the requested date. We do not gate vouchers to a specific service.
4. Top-up and partial redemption
Top-up. If the service redeemed against the voucher costs more than the voucher value, the difference is payable in cash or card at the meeting point. The voucher is treated as a stored-value credit against the booking total.
Partial redemption. If the service costs less than the voucher value, the unused balance is recorded against the voucher code and remains valid until the original expiry date. The recipient can apply the balance to a later booking. Unused balance is not refundable in cash.
5. Transferability
Vouchers are transferable. The original purchaser can give the voucher to anyone — name on the face of the voucher does not have to match the recipient who books. The redemption code is what we verify, not the recipient's identity.
The recipient at the booking stage gives their own contact details (mobile, hotel) for the booking logistics. The voucher code links the booking to the original purchase for accounting.
6. Lost or compromised vouchers
Lost vouchers are reissued on production of the original purchase confirmation (the WhatsApp message or email containing the original code). The reissued voucher carries a new code; the old code is invalidated to prevent double-redemption.
If a voucher code has been redeemed by someone other than the intended recipient (lost-then-found scenario), the office investigates. If the redemption appears unauthorised, the office issues a replacement voucher to the original purchaser at no charge.
7. Operator-side cancellation against a voucher booking
If the operator cancels a booking that was paid for with a voucher (weather grounding for balloon, animal-welfare rotation for camel, sandstorm for safari), the voucher value is restored to the original code in full and the recipient can rebook for any later available date inside the original validity window.
If the rebook lands outside the original validity window because of repeated weather grounding, the office extends the voucher at no charge to cover the next available slot.
8. No cash refund
Vouchers are not redeemable for cash. Unused voucher value (whether a partial-redemption balance or a full unused voucher) cannot be refunded in cash.
The exception is a voucher that the original purchaser cancels within 7 days of purchase, before the voucher has been redeemed and before the voucher has been forwarded to a recipient. In that narrow window the original purchaser can request a refund of the purchase price to the original payment method.
9. Multiple vouchers
Multiple vouchers can be combined against a single booking. Quote all relevant voucher codes in the WhatsApp message at booking; the office stacks the values and applies the combined credit. Top-up rules apply as for a single voucher.
