Private Evening Safari with Land Cruiser 4×4 — what this package actually is
This is the sole-use version of the evening safari. One Land Cruiser, one party, one dedicated senior desert guide. Up to six guests share the Cruiser; you do not share with another booking. The route, the dune-bashing intensity, the camp arrival time and the camp seating arrangement are all customised to the party — no group-join, no fixed dinner table, no shared photo stops with strangers.
The price is per car (AED 1400), not per person. A group of two pays the same as a group of six. This means the per-person rate ranges from AED 233 (six guests) to AED 700 (one or two guests) — the value scales with group size, which is why this product is most popular for family-only trips, anniversaries, proposals and corporate VIP bookings where privacy and customisation outweigh the per-person cost.
What private actually means here
Private dune-bashing: the driver picks the dune line for your party only. You can ask for "gentle" or "more aggressive"; the bashing is calibrated to the cabin. Photo stops are extended on request; sunset window is held for the party rather than for a convoy of multiple Cruisers. If you want to skip the dune-bash entirely (slow drive to camp), that is a real option — message at booking.
Private camp staging: the camp seating is reserved for your party only. Live shows still happen on the central stage — the tanoura and belly-dance performers run their schedule — but your table is private. Family-friendly seating, anniversary table setup with rose petals, and proposal staging (the moment held by the guide at a specific dune crest) are all optional add-ons. Tell us at booking.
Custom programme: arrival time at the camp can shift earlier or later than the shared-safari schedule. BBQ service can be brought forward for a family with young children, delayed for a couple wanting longer sunset photography, or split into starters-then-mains-then-dessert pacing for a corporate group on a longer evening.

Safety, dune-bashing and motion sickness
Private dune-bashing is calibrated to the cabin in a way the shared product cannot match. If a guest in your party has motion sickness, recent surgery, late-stage pregnancy or severe back / neck issues, the driver dials the intensity down or skips the bashing entirely without affecting the rest of the evening. Tell us at booking; the staging adjusts before the convoy departs the desert edge.
Children: the private cabin allows for child seats on request. Tell us the children's ages; we set up the cabin and the camp seating with the kid-friendly arrangement before pickup. See /safety-certifications/.
Best season and best time of day
October to April is the peak window. Weekend private bookings in November and December are reserved 7–10 days ahead — earlier than the shared safari because the sole-use product has less daily capacity (one Cruiser per party). Anniversary and proposal bookings should be reserved 2–3 weeks ahead for the strongest sunset windows.
Summer (June–August): runnable. Pickup times shift later. The private cabin is the most comfortable summer-evening safari product because the staging adjusts to the surface temperature — bashing intensity dialled down, camp arrival adjusted, BBQ service paced for the cooler late-evening window.
Pricing transparency
AED 1400 per car (up to 6 guests) for the standard private evening safari. This is the published rate, the same rate on WhatsApp, the same rate at the meeting point. Anniversary and proposal staging extras (rose petals, photographer, dedicated cake) are quoted separately on WhatsApp; honest costs, no surprises at the camp.

Common booking mistakes
- Booking sole-use for 1 or 2 guests when the shared evening safari might have been the better value — at AED 700 per person on a 2-person booking, the shared option at AED 375 + small private upgrade may serve you better; ask us at booking which fits
- Forgetting to flag the occasion (anniversary / proposal / birthday) — the staging is half the value of the private product
- Booking the proposal moment without telling us the partner's name — the guide briefing requires it for the staging to feel personal
- Picking a peak weekend window with less than 5 days lead time — sole-use capacity is limited; advance booking matters more than for the shared product
